Forms Of Music You Just 'Don't Get'

I once lived with a guy who listened to nothing but generic pop R&B. One day I spotted a copy of Blur's Parklife in his collection and wondered why he'd never explored his Britpop roots any further. Reason - "my Mum bought this for me because it has two greyhounds on the cover and I like dogs". I'm sure this topic has probably been covered previously in one form or another, but I'm in a poll-setting mood and have little else better to do. Question is, whilst I think this site breeds (on the whole) an open mind, there's always a musical genre or sub-genre that doesn't quite click, even for the most eclectic among us. Which is yours?
