I Can't say I agree with most of your choices, but especially not the bolded ones. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a modern masterpiece. To say that Hybrid Theory, with it's angsty whining screamo, is somehow better is ridiculous. I don't hate Linkin Park because of the teenage boys (who are now in their 20s) listening to them. I hate Linkin Park because the lead singer makes my ears bleed, and their lyrics are cliched "poor me the world is so against me" whining.
I dont think Hybrid Theory is a modern masterpiece. But I also don't think Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is either. But I'll take the whiny vocals over boring indie rock in this case.
