Oh and The Smiths' debut is way better than TQID and Meat is Murder, so listen to that first.

This.

Suffer Little Children is a scarily good song considering their ages at the time.

I listened to Meat is Murder during the night. I will check out the debut when I get a chance. I'm also thinking Tom Waits and The Replacements should be given consideration along with Husker Du.

Definitely 'Let It Be' and 'Tim' by The Replacements and 'Zen Arcade' by Husker Du deserve a chance. And there are at least two truly stunning Tom Waits '80's albums, though I largely prefer his earlier, jazzier stuff.

Great chart, but yes, there should be more 80s records. On my chart, after the 60s and 70s, the 80s is the decade with the most albums. I could make a long list of great 80s albums that deserve to be on this chart.

@Eggman - If you've got some 80s suggestions other than what what we've discussed that you think, based on my chart, I would enjoy let me know.

I don't know if you have listened to most of these or not, I'm not even sure you would like all, but here goes:

Doc at the Radar Station - Captain Beefheart
The Ascension - Glenn Branca
Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables - Dead Kennedys
Plastic Surgery Disasters - Dead Kennedys
New York - Lou Reed
Sandinista! - The Clash
Isn't Anything - My Bloody Valentine
Double Nickels on the Dime - Minutemen
Oh Mercy - Bob Dylan
Psychic...Powerless...Another Man's Sac - Butthole Surfers
Locust Abortion Technician - Butthole Surfers
Ice Cream for Crow - Captain Beefheart

There are many more, but either I can't remember them now, or they have been mentioned.

I've never heard of Glenn Branca. The rest I have or am pretty familiar with except Butthole Surfers who I only know from their one crossover hit from the mid to late 90s. I only have the late 60s, early 70s Captain Beefheart. Thanks Eggman I will check these out.
