Awesome....and underated. Sandy, Incident, and the band goes everywhere, Rosalita, make for quite a memorable album. Like so many records at this time, the production hurts the album. But, as I said, the quality Bruce songwriting is there.

I've always dismissed this album as being not as good as the rest of his work, but I think it's time I gave it another listen.

I used to think that too. I think it was either this album or his first that changed my mind. There's an ex coworker who is a huge Springsteen fan. He made a point of lending me every album, and well... mission accomplished! I became a fan, eventually favoring the moodiness of well, darkness of Darkness on the Edge of Town the most.

As for this album, it was briefly my favorite, actually. It's like a weird mix of Bob Dylan and Van Morrison with a tiny bit of free wheeling jam band aesthetic thrown in on the first track. He and the E St band never made an album quite like it again. Think Anyways, I listened to it about a week ago on the Seoul Subway, and was bored by it, but I think it might have been the setting and context. Think
