Hi all, new here.

I have pretty eclectic tastes but a bit of an aversion to country and metal. If you think you can change my mind, my ears are open.

Welcome Butterthumbz. Probably won't get too much in the way of country here, 'cept pioneers like Johnny Cash. There are definitely some metal heads around though.

Welcome. To be fair, I assume you mean modern country because a good amount of classic country is overwhelming good(Johnny Cash is a prime example). Metal on the other hand I think is good. I actually don't listen to a ton of metal, but I listen to what I consider to be good. Stuff like Black Sabbath, Megadeth, and etc.

Well, all country really but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose at a bit of Johnny Cash. At Folsom Prison is phenomenally good, but I'm sure I don't need to tell you that! I'm aware there are some great classic country artists but it's not my favourite genre.

As for metal, Paranoid is about as close to heavy as I get.

Interesting. Well I generally don't listen to heavy metal. I do hate plenty of metal artists, but there are definitely those I love to listen to
