I listened to this album yesterday before it went AotD and it's only a few times per month that I decide to listen to a Beatles album. Weird! I've always thought of MMT, an extended EP or not, as the inferior Sgt. Pepper, which still means that it's impossibly good.

Of course it's possible to be a less fan of "Strawberry Fields Forever", but seriously, it's not overrated. One of Lennon's most personal songs ever.

I will never understand why "Baby You're a Rich Man" is constantly mentioned as one of the weaker songs on the album. Completely disagree, aside from Strawberry Fields and I Am the Walrus it is my favorite tune on here and one of my favorite Lennon offerings.

I remember listening to this a ton during my Freshman year at university, when I was quite into the Beatles. When I hear this record now, it brings back very vivid memories of that year, particularly the whole excitement mixed with trepidation feeling that came with being new to college. I haven't listened to it very often since and don't listen to it often now (some of the songs on here, particularly in the first half, are not very interesting), but it is very strange how vivid the recollections are when hearing this record.

Because its chorus only consists of one note, nearly.. just like "All You Need Is Love". Okay, bad argument!

Don't care Wink . It sounds good to me, that's all. I particularly like the way Lennon sings the verses. I would also listen to it a lot while walking to classes during Freshman year, so there is the nostalgia bonus adding a bit.

I also like the chorus, but nowhere near as much as other songs on the album. The verses on the other hand are simply great. It all comes down to the fact that the other songs are superior, though the song sounds a little cheap to me, but it's not a big problem and I love its synthesizer-like sound. And the nostalgia bonus is probably also the biggest reason why The Beatles are my favourite band.

One of the Beatles' better albums, and perhaps their most psychedelic.

It's a compilation and it sounds like one.
