Today is the 57th anniversary of Elvis Presley's debut!

That's right, a day after the 50th anniversary of the Beatles debut, and 2 days after the 25th anniversary of the Pixies' debut, we have this. 57 years ago today the first Rock and Roll album (arguably) was released upon the world. This was perhaps just as big of a revolution as what followed 7 years later with the Fab Four. I personally really like this album. It's a very fun rock and roll record with definitely a little filler but also a lot of great hits and just classic R&R! . Much like the Beatles debut, this album has a definite energy that is hard to ignore! Okay, thoughts?

Really? I think it's so much stronger. As it should be, since it's a best-of in a way. Well, to each his own, I guess.
