Guilty Pleasures

This subject rather hi-jacked another thread so I thought, maybe, it warrants its own. It was interesting in the sense that it sparked debate about the meaning of ‘guilty pleasure’ and whether the concept should even exist. Lethelnezzel wrote: “If you are publicly ashamed of music that you enjoy, you're an imbecile.” Whilst I agree with this in the main, we’re all human and so surely our insecurities about certain things get the better of us from time to time. For the record, my definition of ‘guilty pleasure’ is: something you like but perceive as being thought of as rather less than cool in the wider world. To qualify, it’s not like you have to own albums by these artists (though you might), just that the songs make you smile (or stir up some other emotion you consider pleasurable). I love Fireflies! I haven't heard any other Owl City songs I like though.

Can't really think of any guilty pleasures. I'm sure I have some...I'll get back to you guys if I think of one.
