Have you tried Have One on Me? Maybe you'll like the vocals there better.

Anyway Ys is really really really great except for Monkey and Bear which is a good track but pales in comparison to the others which are near-perfect.

The first posts made me laugh...

Anyway, I actually listened to this album just last week and I really liked it but mostly because of the lyrics. I wouldn’t call it one of my favorites but there’s certainly much to admire. And I also thought Johanna Newsom’s unusual voice really fits the album well, so that wasn’t a big turn off.
