Machinedrum - Vapor City (2013) 90/100
Best electronic album of the year ! ... yes even better than the new daft Punk's Random Access Memories. |
If you like that you should try DJ Rashad's Double Cup, and DJ Traxman's TEKLIFE Vol. 3: The Architek, both released this year. They're both similar (Machinedrum's album contains a cool mix of jungle and juke largely, and both of those artists are juke producers), and I think Double Cup in particular is a better album than Vapor City.

Lol who said King Crimson wasn't prog rock?

Sketches of Spain - Miles Davis (1960)
First listen. I've heard a lot of mixed responses to this, but I like it a lot so far. Not quite on par with Kind of Blue, but quite a bit better than Bitches Brew. So far, anyway.
EDIT: Hm, yeah, it was alright, but I gradually started to lose interest about halfway through.
