The best part of this is that Flea wasn't allowed to turn this into yet another punk-funk bass fest like every other album by this band. There's actual songs here. And while Kiedis shows how limited he is lyrically, there are more beautiful moments on this album than there are funk outs. I'll take this over any other album by this band, by a long shot.

I really like it. Partly for nostalgia and partly because I think it's actually really good. Throw Away Your Television is an underrated track.
