I bought a stereo system one piece at a time on layaway. When I got the last piece, I set it up, went out and bought this album and locked myself in my room for a few days.
I received a combo record player, 8-track player, and cassette player all in one stereo for Christmas in the late 70's. So I went out as soon as I could and bought - ELO - Out Of The Blue on vinyl, Billy Joel - 52nd Street on cassette and Saturday Night Fever soundtrack on 8-track. I still love these albums to this day. I wish I still had my spaceship that came with Out Of The Blue!
It was the Tarzan's soundtrack which contained both the originals by Phil Collins and the translated songs sung by Ed Motta. Lovely album, sweet memories 😄 Thashin the camp was just the coolest thing in the world to me.
I think that was the first thing not by the Beatles I heard. I still remember singing along to that song ... still know all the words (well, sounds, really!) _________________
