Granted, they're not the best that the genre has to offer per se, but I like them quite a bit.
What didn't you like about them?
After Danger Mouse got ahold of them, they started polishing their sound of so much, to the point of it sounding really sterile and bland. Even on Brothers, where Danger Mouse didn't touch most of the album, it sounds so artificial when compared to the life and energy they put into their early Blues Rock records(Which I enjoy, Rubber Factory is a great record). El Camino is definitely the worst of theirs I've heard, the whole thing is just really forced and formulaic. I haven't heard the new one, and after seeing them on SNL, I don't really want to, so I can't pass judgment on that.

But good job with the ull so far.
I feel you. I like the repetition on Brothers for some reason. Most artists tire for me, but something about their sound keeps me interesting. However, El Camino is much more of a singles album.
Turn Blue is much different, I've heard negative things about the SNL performance, but I'd certainly check out the album!
I'm so excited! As my charts reflect, I'm quite fond of Coldplay. I liked their previous LP Mylo Xyloto as a whole, but felt that there was too much of an inconsistent quality to it.
On Track 2, and I'm loving this so far.
EDIT: Great, definitely not a let down! Now, that's not to say that it's fantastic/their best, but it's in their top 3 for sure.
Finally, finishing their discography! Only 4 albums, but for some reason, I've put this off. I like their debut quite a bit, and I love their sophomore release, but their third album wasn't quite as good. On to this one, I like it, a lot. Definitely in their top 2 albums!
EDIT: WOW. I was not expecting this at all! Still in a bit of shock, this is my favorite release from Band Of Horses by a few points. It's so comforting, it's so refreshing, it's so influenced my My Morning Jacket's Z (which is a fantastic album, too).
Their whole discography is incredibly solid, with Only By The Night placing well on my Chart. I plan on listening to Because Of The Times soon, so this will be fun!
EDIT: The quality of the second half is much greater than the quality of the first half.
Oh it is time for dinner, this album goes well, yes! One thing that came to mind upon hearing the opening track: "This is the greatest Bob Dylan album", and that thought stuck with me throughout the record. "Hurricane" will be landing a spot quite high on my all-time list, as will this album. I love the experimentation, I love the vocals, I love everything here!
Yay! Like the rest of these, this is a first listen, one that I am anxiously waiting to hear. Music Has The Right To Children worked its way up to #3 on my Chart, which is where it sits now. It's difficult to not go into this album expecting quality.
I may fall asleep to this, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
EDIT: Indeed I did fall asleep to this, so I'm starting it back up where I left off! It is currently 9:16 AM and I'm back at school.
EDIT: Beautiful, ethereal, beautiful. This is exactly what I wanted it to be. If you haven't checked it out already, I highly recommend it.
91/100

Hey so check out Todd Rundgren. I personally see a lot of similarity between him and Sufjan (just completely different and 30 years apart.) in that they both are just completely insanely creative and just go every which way on the amazing pop journeys. Specifically listen to this bad boy if you get a chance
