One hit wonder albums.

I want to know all the bands that have had a phenominal album surrounded by albums that are not so good shall we say.. I'm not sure if bands that only had one album should count but if you feel they should, then go ahead and list it. I can't think of any off the top of my head but I just like the idea of one hit wonders (one off hit songs) and I wondered whether this had happened but for an entire album.

Yeah, It's really good! I was just thinking of adding Adventure to my Overall just the other day. Definitely check out Pygmalion as well. It's completely different.

Nah. None of these at all. Plastic Surgery Disasters is arguably as good as Fresh Fruit. I prefer Radio Ethiopia over Horses, and Easter is up there as well. Os Mutantes had 3 or 4 great albums, and all 3 of Slowdive's albums are pretty equally brilliant.

Definite one hit wonder album. So big when it was released. So much backlash from critics too. Many people here I am sure are not even fans of that first album, but I still think this one is decent too, just nowhere near as good as that first album.

Yeah, it should be defined more precisely by the OP....The way I understood it is any album that was deemed with either commercial or critical success qualifies as long as the artist did not have any other album that really (really) stands out (commercially or critically)...

more or less. I said that statistically this one is one album wonder, I can't dig their other stuff though, Repoman pointed me one or two albums of them that I haven't heard beyond their albums that I have already heard, so If it's very good I can say that no it's not one album wonder. But if their EP self titled were an album I would retire everything I said about it
