An they hve all been excellent an very different. And I am starting to (re) see the light on Kind Of Blue. This album is just absolutely stunning. It's downright revelatory. Coming back to if after listening to a lot more jazz than I've ever listened to in the last few months has made me recognize anew how downright astounding, vibrant, natural, lovely and just inspiring this album is. It may be a total cliche (and I've heard many stuck up ass holes say if you think this album is the greatest jazz album you've heard than you don't know jazz - if you're out there y'all can blow me.) but I think this is probably the greatest jazz album I've ever heard. _________________ -Ryan
More Townes. I think of him as a compilation artist in that most of his songs have a similar flavor and play well in succession, with minimal thought to ordering. Given that, it's not surprising that one if his most acclaimed albums is a live recording. Perfect for chilling on a fall afternoon. It's summer, but close enough.
