Apparently. But yeah, Def Leppard are (at least Hysteria) is seriously underrated IMO. With my polaroid headphones, this sounds phenomenal. Rocket practically sounds like the real thing instead of a recording.

Haha! I actually love your approach to albums, JMan, precisely because it's so different than mine. I still remember reading about your methodical approach in your overall chart last May. That's actually how I know you love this album. I'll never think about this album again the same way. Your take was spot on and completely in agreement with how you value albums.

Thanks. There aren't many people who appreciate my take on things.

No. 3 on my hair metal chart (shameless plug)

It's seriously good. They wanted it to be the rock version of Thriller, and they came pretty close in that virtually every song is a great single. You also really get to hear the greatness of Steve Clark before he sadly died. Some great rockers of songs ("Pour Some Sugar On Me", "Rocket", "Animal") and a couple of the best power ballads ever written ("Hysteria" and "Love Bites"). If you want quality hair metal, there isn't a lot better.

Not a fan, but I can't stand hair metal.

Do they take all the bass out of the vocals? There's such little warmth to it.

The intro to "Excitable" is very hard on the ears.
