glitter-bubbles and I went to see Amanda Shires in Houston Last night at McGonigel's Mucky Duck. She hung around for a while after the show and we talked with her for a bit. Really sweet girl and put on a great show. Not to mentioned, she signed my copy of:

Down Fell The Doves by Amanda Shires

I haven't got them today, but today a couple online orders I made shipped and within the next week I'll be getting the first three volumes of Mille Plateaux's Clicks + Cuts compilations, Tortoise/Stereolab - "Yaus"/"Speedy Car," and Tortoise's "Djed"/"Tjed" 12" single of remixes. I hate online ordering, but honestly these are hard to come by. Receiving those Tortoise singles means I'll have everything they released on vinyl from their inception to Standards, except Rhythms, Resolutions, and Clusters. We so excite.

I got the deluxe versions of both Slanted and Enchanted, and Crooked Rain Crooked Rain. Man, I know it's been sàid many times before but I have to echo my agreement - Pavement knows how to relessr a deluxe copy of their classics! I mean there's like 60% new GREAT materiàl in those efitions! Awesome.

Also I recently got Lifes Rich Pageant by REM , which is cool.

Edit: just went to a goodwill and found these on CD for a dollar each!

Monster by R.E.M.

In My Tribe by 10,000 Maniacs

Passion: Music For The Last Temptation Of Christ by Peter Gabriel

A CD single of Vapour Trail (or is it an EP?) by Ride. Has a shark on the front.

And... !!!!

The It Girl by Sleeper

!!!!! Super excited about that last!!!

I Love You, Honeybear by Father John Misty

I love the packaging for this... A lot of beautiful artwork. There's a booklet that's supposedly instructions for listening and it's got some great material inside...

Did you get the deluxe edition? I really thought about it. Unfortunately, apparently the packaging damaged the vinyl... But it looks gorgeous.
