Haha, getting a little defensive cause you're 18? You know I was only joking, right? Cause if there was a minimum age requirement, I wouldn't be allowed on this site either.

Neat.
Nowhere near Disintegration or Pornography, but still one of the stronger releases during their middle period.

I didn't realize you were joking, people have legitimately questioned peoples' ages when discussing if their point is valid. Like "you're young you don't get it" or etc. and I get defensive cuz some of the best conversation I've seen on this site has come from the likes of Brandon who's younger, yeah, but much wiser than I. _________________

One of the few bands I could listen to continuously for hours and not get tired of. Not their best work here, but still great.

As a huge Cure fan, I can't quite join the bandwagon of joy on display here. Two timeless singles for sure ("Close to Me" first and foremost), but the rest of the album goes in all directions at once and is pretty hit-or-miss. Still good fun of course, but probably not even top 5 Cure releases.
This album is notable for starting the Cure craze in France though, amazing retrospectively how they became such a major act in '85 here and how they found their audience. Hit after hit after hit up until 'Friday I'm in Love' I think. I was one of the fanboys (13 y-o at the time). We go so way back Robert Smith and me, and this was the first Cure album I was offered (even though I'd discovered them with "The Lovecats" and "The Caterpillar", both of which sort of prepared the ground in France for the 'curemania' that was about to sweep the Top 50).

I got to see The Cure live in France once in the late 80s. There were no seats. Just one big open stadium. And it became just one big wondrous & monstrous uninhibited dance party. Easily the best Cure concert I've ever been to. Of course, I met a girl so that always helps.

Not my favourite Cure Album, but in the mid range of Cure albums, below Disintegration, Pornography and Seventeen Seconds in the pecking order

Honestly, I would've assumed the exact same thing. Normally the opening track is great, but they somehow manage to fuck up that feeling for me when the rest of the album goes on. Not at all bad, but nothing really special in any way. I will give these two albums one thing; at least their not Disintegration. The worst album of the 80s for me, sorry. _________________
