Damn, I knew this thread would be counter productive for me. My wish list (where i keep albums i want to listen to) is getting pretty backed up.

But this week will predominantly devoted to...

All These Dreams by Andrew Combs

Ive probably listened to it 6-7 times front to back so far, and i think its beautiful. I cant quite peg down who it reminds of but it has totally sucked me in right now.

Historically; im looking for 'must listen' Live albums that have got by me. recs welcome! feel free to pm me.

Been deep deep into 1978 with the occasional departure into the present.

CONTEMPORARY:

Breakfast by Teleman

Didn't realize that Pete & the Pirates had broken up and formed this band. Pete & The Pirates made pretty perfect infectious indie pop. Teleman seems to begin right where they left off, adding in a bit of extra synths for good measure.

HISTORICAL:

Visions Of The Country by Robbie Basho

I've been long familiar with Basho's 60s output, but never gave this from 9178 one a fair spin. Holy god. It's Fahey meets Devendra by way of the old man in the mountains.

VAULTS:

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello

Armed Forces was always my favorite Costello lp, but a recent set of spins of This Year's Model has possibly changed my mind. Happy to say I have this on vinyl too.

2015 AOTW:

Historical AOTW:

The Sump - Cheek By Jowl (1992)

Benjamin Construct = #20 for 2015 - not as good as previous releases but still some solid ambient soundscapes here.

The Sump = #8 for 1992 - my favourite new old band (along with The He Dark Age). Their best release
