I had to do a little bit of research for this one, because I had never heard of it. And wow. I'm hooked. Will listen to when I can.

What killed rock? I believe it was all started by Steely Dan, who invented both adult contemporary and smoove jazz at the exact same time, and somehow got played on rock stations. The title track from this album is unforgivable new age slop..."An independent station/WJAZ/With jazz and conversation..." Jeez. Steely Dan, and especially Donald Fagen, was rock for people who didn't like rock but who WANTED to like rock but who really didn't know exactly what rock was.

IMO, of course...

I'm with Romanelli, one of the worst albums I've ever heard. Unimaginative slop.

Interesting points about Steely Dan 'killing rock', I can see where you're coming from.

One of the most impeccably produced albums I've ever heard. As far as quality of music, it's fine if you dig Steely Dan

Very enjoyable album. Donald Fagen is an incredible musician and his attention to detail does not go unnoticed.
