Early B&S was a lot of great pop songs about coming of age. I'm not sure Brian Wilson ever even got a chance to come of age, at least not in the usual sense.
Deserves all of its acclaim here. Possibly the greatest pop album of all time and it's baffling that this isn't at least in the top 100. Almost every song is a masterpiece and at this time they were musical geniuses.
