and i'm also gonna actually keep updating my overall instead of leaving it at an unsightly 19 albums. also, does anyone actually read what i write on my overall?
Absolutely, I love your chart comments even though I'm unfamiliar with pretty much everything on the chart. _________________
d'aww okay glad they're not just a waste of my time/a big impediment on actually fleshing out the list since i'm so lazy about writing them and refuse to add stuff without descriptions since i know i'll just never fill them back in if i do it that way.

And now my 70s chart is updated, although I may have forgotten some things. It's definitely my favorite decade since it encompasses high points in African and Jamaican music, the beginnings of punk/new wave, great songwriter records, Pink Floyd, funk, disco and everything Cale and Eno touched.

Yes, and I really like the direction you're taking with this. I've always found your charts to be fun to explore, but I especially like this latest update, even with the relatively small number of albums you have on there at the moment.
I've long had it on my to-do list to draw up detailed comments on my overall, but never seem to find the time/motivation to do so. Hopefully before the end of the year.

I love that top 10, though for some reason I could never get into Loaded. You'd think VU's (supposedly) most accessible album would come the easiest... maybe I'll give it another go today.

I honestly consider all 4 of their albums equally incredible. It's very very hard for me to pick a favorite. I think whatever it lacks in Cale's experimental touch it makes up for in Reed's blossoming songwriting. Also, "I Found a Reason" and "New Age" are pretty special _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
