I'm arranging to have myself, Applerill, and the still-living spirits of Thurston Moore and Stravinsky (he's alive right?) to get you to go back to just being yourself because this newfound sarcasm is unbecoming

Oh wait, sorry, I got the two threads mixed up. I thought the Romanelli thing was a continuation of Satie's new disdain for adding meaningless music to the database.

Also, wait: if the "Best Ever Albums" are holy and infallible, then what's the cutting-off point on the overall chart in terms of making one "best ever"? Is it like a factorial sort of superiority an album has from each one before it?

WHO THE FUCK CARES indeed, MrFrogger, FroggerEsq, if I can call you that, for you are clearly a learned man. i am still at the beginning of my journey, but i already feel this sentiment rising from my chest like the sound of my soul being unshackled - first a whisper, then a roar - WHO THE FUCK CARES

WHO THE FUCK CARES about albums not formed fully in the minds of geniuses, as perfect syntheses of popular trends and artistic ambition for the consumption and appreciation of all?
WHO THE FUCK CARES about assessing albums based on anti-democratic, non-aggregated metrics?
WHO THE FUCK CARES about venturing into the postmodern, nihilistic void of subjectivity when sales figures (up to but not including the years after the Great Collapse of Album Civilization in the early '90s, when the great prophets Pearl Jam were betrayed by the masses and the evil Ticket Master) exist to validate TRUE artistic credibility and influence?
WHO THE FUCK CARES about rap, or as i like to call it, a genre derived from African American folk tradition in reaction to sustained structural oppression in the Reagan-era '80s that i owe respect but only occasional listening time... but only if it's twenty-five years old and has a saxophone in there somehere?

these are the questions we should be asking, and i am not afraid to ask them anymore.

What if it's from a blue-collar white man who makes nursery rhymes for serious grown-ups? Surely those geniuses make as many "best ever albums" as any of those black people you're talking about.

At this rate, BEA in 2016 will be split in two sections, Satie's Music Diary and Hayden's Film Log.
