I don't rate charts all that often unless they're worthy of 100 simply because I like the 90 my chart has and don't want someone to lower my rating in retaliation. So most charts I rate get 100 either due to either similar taste or good variety. I used to try to rate everyone that rates mine but stopped when I started getting 100s from people with mediocre charts. With that said I do respect most of you guys and would like it if those of you who haven't rated mine to have a look at it. I think my chart is better and more varied than its ever been, and usually I will check out your chart and choose something I haven't heard before to listen to. So yeah, check me out. I like checking ratings/charts on the lesser known albums on my list and look for forum regulars' names to see what you all think and despite it having a lot in common with the forum regulars/BEA friendly charts some of you made there's a few good ones on there that you guys maybe haven't listened to.
anyone else just give 100's to their fav ppl on here like "this charts full of weird experimental shit I don't even know but you're a sound lad so here you go"
here's my newly finished 2000s chart if you'd like to do just that ๐
I welcome ratings, particularly with comments, positive or negative. I don't rate other's charts though. Best you'll get from me is a favorite, and I really like your shit of I leave a comment. When I did give ratings, I'd toss out perfect scores to those I thought had developed or were developing a unique, personal taste, whether or not I enjoyed it or got any recs from it.
I'll admit that I'm quite picky with my ratings. A 100 means that the chart is among the greatest charts in BEA history. 90-95 is still super-duper-amazing, 80-85 is great, and 70-75 is good.
i deleted all of my old charts and have replaced them with this chart of what i'm listening to these days. it's not a greatest ever or even a favorites chart. it's just stuff that i'm listening to here and now, which is kind of cool. i'll try to update it frequently. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
Gave my overall chart a good overhaul a while back. Still haven't gotten any feedback on it yet so I'm makings an appeal here for some feedback. I've been exploring 70s music a good deal lately and that shows up a good bit.
Also if you want, please check out my 2010s chart, it's the list I feel is most complete. _________________ If you're reading this, that probably means that I had something to say.
Rearranged my 2010s chart somewhat, trying to order things in terms of how I enjoy them rather than how I feel I "should" rank stuff. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

I don't want to harp on you here, and I feel like my mind does a similar thing, but what is the difference to you in terms of the amount of enjoyment and what you feel fits?

At times when I rank albums, I will feel a little conflicted about giving a higher placing to a more obscure album, like
Nonfiction by The Range a higher place because I enjoyed it more than an album that has had more fan/critical acclaim, like
To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar.
I think however that this is my chart and therefore it should reflect my preferences, rather than trying to reflect what I feel others will like to see. However, other people will have other approaches to constructing their charts and each to their own in that regard, TBHIDGAF. ๐ _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums
