Interesting take, Aeroplane is usually among my least disagreed with choices. I am currently cycling back through my top 500 and will see if it still holds its own. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
I'd be much obliged if you know of further albums outside the US that are truly as amazing or even better than what's listed (not counting classical, which I keep separate from this list)

Thank you. Looking at your 80s list, I really dig the inclusions of the likes of Talk Talk, Cocteau Twins, Weather Report and several less famous selections I have yet to hear!
