Some '67 stuff I like that's not on a ton of charts:

Reach Out by Four Tops

You Got My Mind Messed Up by James Carr

The Temptations With A Lot O' Soul by The Temptations

Yeah, this for sure. I think it's one of the best soul records of all time.

Also, not soul, but I should probably recommend this as well:

The Index (The Black Album) by The Index

Only things for me to add (apologies if these are actually all repeats but I missed em'):

Miles Smiles by Miles Davis

More Real Folk Blues by Muddy Waters

Tim Hardin 2 by Tim Hardin

Also this little know gem is worth a spin

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles

Along with the blues ones mentioned earlier of Magic Sam and Albert King.

So we've had 50 years of "the beatles used the studio as an instrument" but people still think of production as something wholly separate from songwriting? Wonder how much longer that'll take to sink in.

also seems crazy that this one is 50 years old

Cosmic Tones For Mental Therapy by Sun Ra

Sun Ra is so underrated and this is a fantastic album. I'm so glad someone acknowledged him.
