I grew up on Guns N' Roses in my teens, so I have a big soft spot for them. Appetite is simply one of the greatest debut albums by any rock band. The hits have been radio played to death, but album tracks like "Rocket Queen" and "Mr Brownstone" are among my very favourites.

Rocket Queen rocks. Best song on the album, that 2nd half is epic.

These days, after all the over-exposure, it seems to be under-rated. With its unrelenting combination of rhythmic concert, ecstatic, ceremonial violence, and vocal gymnastics between hostile, crazed, back alley nightmare, to romanticized juvenile delinquency, it took The Sex Pistols anarchy, The Stones and Zeppelin's classic synergy and sound to a whole new level of scorching, infectious, glorious destruction.
