Awesome album. Great lyrics albeit a bit of a bleak view of humanity. Great music. Overall a terrific album.

Incredible album. It suffers from the fact that it sits between DSOTM and WYWH on one side and The Wall on the other, but that's unfair. It's easily the equal or better than The Wall, and is fully worthy of standing alongside the other two.

It's great but there's a reason it is not as praised as DSOTM or WYWH.
As has already been said it's as good as those, but the musical context is totally different.
DSOTM comes at prog rock's peak years, WYWH when "dinosaur" rock bands dominated disc industry -oil crisis years>few vinyl releases focused on guaranteed sold out albums by best selling artists-, and then you have PUNK explotion with rock vanguard moving into a completely different direction from prog rock, and this guys come with the most prog-rock album of their career.
The music is fantastic, but "Baby, baby, baby you're out of time"
