I love latin alternative and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs did a cover of the strawberry fields song.

I don't know if I prefer it to the original, but Boyz To Men did some great vocal work on their Yesterday cover.

"Here, there and everywhere" with Belarus is.....absolutely fantastic. Beats the sh*t out of the original in my view.

Yes. The original is of course wonderful, but in another dreamy, softer way.

There was a double album of Beatles covers released in 76 involving many of the stars of the day, it even included Peter Gabriel's very first solo release (a version of Strawberry Fields), it's okay in parts but the only song on it I prefer to the original is Bryan Ferry's bewitching version of She's Leaving Home.

I like Lucy in the Sky by Elton John and, unbelievably, Fool on the Hill by Helen Reddy. Otherwise i agree with you, that album ain't so hot

I heard a version of She's leaving Home I thought was very good
It may have been Tori Amos but not sure

Jerry Garcia's Dear Prudence
Bob Dylan- Yesterday
Jeff Beck- A day in the Life
Smithereens Beatle covers (there are many including Ringo's It Don't Come Easy)
these are all very good

I actually saw this film in a theater during its very short two week run. It was weird.
