A highlight from maybe my favorite instrumental fusion record ever. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
I totally agree with the opinion that Joe Cocker did a great version on With a Little Help From My Friends its one o my favourite tracks of the 60s, and one of the only Beatles covers that equals and maybe even surpasses the original. Its so completely different and original. Plus I used to love it as the intro to my favourite show from childhood The Wonder Years.
I quite like also Ray Charles version of Yesterday
I don't like Shirley Bassey's version of Something or Sinatra's version.
Another great cover nobody mentioned is
k d Lang - Golden Slumbers /The End
With her rich voice she does an admirable job. Very well sung
Deep Purple- Help
King Crimson- Free as a Bird
U2- Happiness is a Warm Gun
Stevie Wonder- We Can Work It Out
Frank Zappa- I An the Walrus
BILL FRISELL- ALL WE ARE SAYING album
some solo covers that are good
Neil Young- Imagine
Tool- Silly Love Songs
Eric Clapton- Love Comes to Everyone
Smithereens- It Don't Come Easy
