Confession: it took me about 5 years of listening to this album before I appreciated more than a couple songs on it.

The Man Who Sold the World, I liked it immediately.

I love Five Years. Everything else on the album is good but to be honest I find that overall it hasn't aged all that well. Give me Heroes or Station to Station any day!

Always an incredible listen start to finish. I think I'm still more of a Hunky Dory fan, but no denying this album's legendary status. Five Years is one of the best album openers I've ever heard.

Summed it up pretty well.

Anyway a legit contender for the best album ever tag. Song by song no other albums can compare, half of the tracks on the album are absolute masterpieces.

An incredibly strong album with a great opener and pretty terrific all the way through to its dramatic closer in Rock n Roll Suicide. A life-changer for me but to show the breadth of his talent it's not my favourite Bowie album. That would be Hunky Dory. But Ziggy is my number two. Maybe they are both my favourites. My top 5 is complete with Aladdin Sane, Low and Blackstar.

Though I love Heroes, this is Bowie's best work. Ziggy Stardust (the song) and Starman are the highlights.
