This was actually a great album to play on Halloween, and not just because it has a song called "Halloween". There's death, ghosts, insanity and the downfall of modern society on here - which are pretty spoopy stuff. _________________

Wow, only 2 pages and most of my suggestions were listed. another vote for Black Sabbath (first 2 albums), Burzum (I'd go with Hvis Lyset Tar Oss though), and the Halloween soundtrack.
PS: thanks for the Current 93, I had heard Sounds From The Horse Hospital but only b/c it's a collaboration with Nurse With Wound, never checked Current 93's solo stuff.
