The third of the classic four-on-a-row Supertramp albums, I find it the weakest. It gets rid of the prog that was left on "Crime of the century" and "Crisis what crisis?" but at the same time the pop is not as catchy as in "Breakfast in America". In a way, it can be seen as a transition album, although it has some fans out there...

I'll take this over Breakfast In America any day. This one still has a noticeable amount of guitar, has what I believe are better songs not trying so hard to be hits, and Roger Hodgson wasn't quite yet trying to out-Geddy Lee Geddy Lee by seeing just how high he could sing. Breakfast In America sounds stale and emotionless to me...this album is almost the complete opposite.

This album has some nice moments on it....Give a little bit, from now on.....

Truthfully i haven't listened to this in years, but a long, lone time ago... i played it quite a bit.
I have mixed feelings about supertramp and their material.
Some days i find their music brilliant; and other days i find the music dated and stale.
I guess it depends on my mood.

Supertramp produced good music, but I'm not sure if it could be considered great.

I disagree. They have produced great unique music. When you listen to them on the radio, even if you don't know the song, you know it's them, and not only because of Hodgson's voice. Some songs just make you smile and sing along. Then you have longer and complex tracks which don't get played on the radio and are fantastic like the song "Crime of the Century" for instance. But you can't find any brilliant music on this album IMO.

Give A Little Bit is one of my favourite songs of all time from a pretty decent album
