Smith-esque, out of tune, surprisingly touching absurdism over Dean Blunt's idea of a C86 version of Mazzy Star trying to recreate Fisherman's Blues for the rest of his career, I am here for it, and will take back every bad thing I've ever said about him. To say that this was unexpected is an understatement - it's the best indie record in years, courtesy of one of the worst rappers of his generation. Seriously, what the actual fuck? Excellent post -punk in the 4ad vein. I love that they steal the percussion from the Cocteau Twins! It sounds perfect in this setting.

Best hip-hop record of 2019 so far. Recommended to fans of teammate Drakeo the Ruler, 03 Greedo (who lends his singular vocal talents to three tracks here), E-40, Mozzy, DMX, Blueface, Sada Baby, etcetera. BAWPs steer clear.
