You are not. It's great and I was just thinking the same thing about it being underhyped thus far. It's like a better version Getaway Car, which was already very good.
I'm starting to get pretty excited by this album: Cardigan, August and This is me Trying are already on steady rotation. People underrate Taylor. She might just be the most romantic songwriter of all time. Certainly in the running...
This is my favorite album that I listened through this weekend. The Dead Tongues' Transmigration Blues is a gorgeous Americana album, reminiscent of Neil Young and The War On Drugs. Great lyricism, stunning arrangements and production.
This is probably one of the best hip-hop albums of the year in a year with a lot of good hip-hop. Apollo Brown's been a fav of mine since Dreams, but I don't think he's struck such a strong collaboration before. This isn't one to miss.
Last year's Sincerely, Detroit was immense, one of the best hip hop albums of 2019. I'll have to give this a listen. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart
Not sure if I have the courage to listen to it ๐ Never cared about her lyrics much anyways, but it's got decent reviews. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart
Again, despite the fantastic songwriting and really unique style, their production leaves a sour taste. It sound too tame and bland. If the guitars were a bit more punchy and the bass more prominent, it would've been a top 10 of 2020 candidate easily. Still, give it a listen if you like unique and interesting metal. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart

i'll admit i'm not that familiar with her music. have you got some examples? i feel like the songs of hers that i've heard have all been decidedly unromantic, but that's an admittedly small sample of tunes.

Yeah, some stuff is definitely not romantic and sometimes her lead singles are totally unrepresentative of the albums ( "Look What you made me do" and "Me!" especially)
The albums though tend to be a lot more vulnerable and openhearted-with a romantic focus (even on Reputation). Some favourites of mine are: August; Cardigan; Lover; Daylight; Getaway Car; Delicate; All you had to do was Stay and Wildest Dreams. You could probably walk down the aisle to most of those (not "All you had to do was stay" !!) or at least have a good old swoon in private.
There is a lot more I could add to that list but they were the first that sprang to mind. "All too well" from Red tends to get cited as a big fan favourite. It's pretty darned good too.
