Also did anyone listened to the new Gorillaz ?

I am listening to it right now and there are some good tracks on here, even thought like the previous two albums it doesn't feel like a Gorillaz album. I wonder why Damon Albarn continues doing music under the Gorillaz name, because you can discernably hear how he doesn't care for the concept anymore. On here it feels like an excuse to make music with its mate (that is ,apparently, the entire music industry ), which is cool, but i miss the Gorillaz that really felt like an actual band with all the lore and visuals. The cover art is even ugly, which is really weird for a Gorillaz album.

Disagree. This is my album of the year with MTBMB, I thought it was incredible, only one weak song but that is still above average imo.

To be fair, i did like the album, it is just that it doesn't feel like a Gorillaz album. it is still way better than Humanz and The Now Wow. Also, i must say i only gave it a quick listen while doing other things, i have to come back to it soon. I am in fact a big Gorillaz fan, and i'm happy there is some better stuff on here than on the previous releases.

Also i was wondering if i might do an overall review of Gorillaz once i am done with Autechre. What do you guys think ?

Think Norm might have mentioned it a few pages back, but the new one from The Apartments is very good, if very much following the same template as their last, albeit even more contemplative and gloomy.

Loops Of Infinity (A Rave Loveletter) by DJ Metatron

That oomph oomph oomph in the barren nightclub because they're all closed maybe it's spinning in NZ though who knows

Tulpa by Astrid Engberg

This is a weird one. And not because it's some genre that can only be described with six words, three of which have 'post' in them. R&B-pop with some unique and wonk-y compositions. Takes a second to settle into, but I think it's pretty good.

Dance Of A Trillion Stars by Aril Brikha

Minimal bleepbloops that make you float.

Kukaya Bili by Kukaya

Sounds like the cover. Smidge long for what it is, but no harm done.

้›†้ซ”ๆจกๅƒ [DUPLICATE COGNIZANCE] by ASJ

This is that album I was talking about earlier that uses a genre that's six words long with a whole bunch of 'post's injected in there.

Heritage Of The Invisible II by Aquiles Navarro & Tcheser Holmes

Jazz with a bit of modern street grit.

8 by Morita Vargas

Very minimal ambient dream-pop. Sounds great on headphones.

Optimisme by Songhoy Blues

The title is fairly spot-on. It's all around a great album, recommend to everyone who likes rock music of any sort

I don't know if my opinion will change when I listen to more metal albums from this year, but that new Mr. Bungle album fucking slaps.

May Our Chambers Be Full by Emma Ruth Rundle & Thou

This is so fucking good. It's an eclectic album despite still being familiar, and the chemisty between Rundle's dream pop writing and Thou's dark sludge is amazing.

This is Sacred Bones' finest release in a minute.

Agree with you on that one. Strong contender for album of the year. Clipping has been consistently great from the beginning. I am also very pleasantly surprised to see them having some succes, given how uncompromising and experimental they are.
