2022 —and the music wherein which abides. This'll be the most action the 2 on your keyboard's had since 1222. Or that time you wanted to continuously switch tabs all day. Or since $22.22 cable bills were a thing. Long time ago. Some early picks— 01 Strange Neighbourhood 02 Antidawn 03 Shadow Paradise 04 New Love 05 Upstairs Flat Burial has announced a new EP Antidawn, breaking his traditional cover art. The release is out January 6th. Earl Sweatshirt's Sick is being released January 14th. The first single, 2010, reminds us we're old. Mitski's got an album coming out too. Good on her. It's called Laurel Hell. I think it'll be fun. It sounds like she's slowly going mad, which is in keeping with the times. Once Twice Melody by Beach House Beach House also has an album coming out— a big fat one. They've already released 8 songs from it. And following-up BEA's #1 album of 2021, Black Country, New Road is releasing Ants From Up There February 4th. Danny Brown's Quaranta is also on the way. New albums from Charli XCX, Animal Collective, Tanya Tagaq, Let's Eat Grandma, 100 Gecs, Park Jiha, Eels, Boris, Bonobo, and Rosalía around the corner too. Promising start. What are you looking forward to in 2020 Vol. III? :)

Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Julien Baker are apparently dropping... something on Monday. Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen had that dope single last year, if this is an album it's already a certified classic. Don't care much about Baker personally, but it's gonna be an interesting dynamic between the three of them.

Unfortunately for us non-Americans, it's just a US tour by those 3... Had a ticket for Angel Olsen last year too, that concert didn't end up happening ofc. Sad days.

Agreed, this is definitely a bit poppier than her previous stuff but it's still dope as hell

:lol: Didn't like it at all. Am I a hater now? In my defense, I thought Holy Terrain was a bop, so it's not that I hate her going mainstream, it's mostly that the style she adopts here doesn't do anything for me.

Earl's album is dope, it's not Some Rap Songs or even I Don't Like Shit... level, but still great, easily #1.

Fontaines DC single from a few days ago is better than 90% of A Hero's Death, and I liked that album.

Oh cool. I listened once (to the new Earl Sweatshirt) on the way back from picking up my kids. Sounded awesome!

I'll check out that Fontaines DC single later tonight after I tuck my kids in for the night & crack open a beer! 😁
