Mezmerize/Hypnotize - System of a Down
It was pretty much one album. Releasing it as two was just a sales stunt, in my opinion. Great albums, though.

Oh, wow. I'd never heard of this, but I was curious so I looked it up. Is it legitimately an 11-CD album or is it a compilation of sorts?

yeah, complete sales stunt, it should have been one album, with perhaps a couple fillery tracks cut off to keep it concise
this is actually hard, how about Beefheart: safe as milk/decals??
or for something more accessible the Hives Veni Vidi Vicious with Mando Diao's Bring em in; 2 mostly generic swedish garage rock revival albums for one!
