1219, Keep meaning to go back through Jason Isbell's stuff.. His albums all seem to all blend into one for me.. Seems to be of consistent quality but I just need to get more familiar with the different albums.

I think that this is the best post Drive-By Truckers album although all of the studio albums both solo and with the 400 unit are worth a punt.
If you arn’t familiar with drive-by truckers you should check them out. All of the DBT albums where Jason was part of the line up are great.
appreciated - I really enjoyed their Souther Rock Opera album, must have around 10 of their albums but a lot of them I've never played!! Question now is - where do I start!? Ha!

I would have recommended south rock opera so I’d go with either the dirty south or decoration day. All three are in my top 300 albums of all time.

brilliant - thank.. was doing a bit of reading up and hadn't realised Isbell was only with them for 3 albums.. gonna start with Decoration Day, have added it to my up next
Nice!! Have Cold Roses teed up on my queue for later. Been wanting to do a Ryan Adams chart ranking all his albums but such a vast catalogue. Think he put out at least 4 albums in 2022 - of varying quality unfortunately. Romeo & Juliet was my favourite.. was decent but even then it was overlong. With some editing he could put out a top drawer album once a year instead of releasing so much...
