cheers Charlie = Lovin' his stuff, obtained a pile of JB Cd's maybe 3 or so months ago - think I still have more still to play than what I've actually managed to listen to, hopefully in for a treat if what I have played is any sign of whats in store 😄
for years I've had the Star Time box, I thought that was all I needed but some of the albums I've heard recently have been fantastic - Sex Machine is good though not sure about the overdubbed crowd noise on some of the tracks!? weird...
The 'Jungle Groove' one was only available on YouTube last time I listened to it.
I have both of those here - Love Love Love!! the title track from The Payback a definite 5* track, that's one that was on the big box set - have only spun the rest of the album once I think. Jungle Groove was pretty good - again, only played once or twice so need to get back to it - his back catalogue gets a bit confusing - so many compilations etc... I have a load of cd's here still not even played!! Try Me!, Live at the Apollo, Hot Pants, Get on the Good Foot, Slaughter's Big Rip-Off, Hell, Soul Syndrome and Messing With The Blues, oh, and James Brown's Funky Christmas Ha! definitely wont be spinning that one until December 1st at the very earliest
Funky Christmas is ace!
I used to own it on CD, before I got rid of my CD's. I still play it at Christmas time. You will love it!
Some of those albums I haven't heard but I'll check some out.
Great that you like The Payback and In The Jungle Groove.
