The Bucks making moves!
With the East more or less wide open due to major injuries with the Celtics and the Pacers, the Knicks firing their coach, and the apparent vulnerability of the loaded Cavs, along with the uncertainty of Philly... looks like the Bucks are doing everything they can to put a formidable cast around Giannis instead of trading him... Hope it works out to the tune of a legit contender and not just a 4-8 seed and another 1st or 2nd round exit... _________________ Best Classical

Nuggets have been making some genius moves. Love what they've done so far with getting rid of the albatross contract of MPJ (who is a good player, but quite limited and under performs drastically in the playoffs against tightened pressure and defense), for a better, way less expensive player in Cameron Johnson (better D, better at attacking the basket), and then the surprise steal with bringing Brown back. They still need some better depth to increase the certainty of their chances but (with Thanos, I mean, Jokic) this already should improve them over last year (especially with the assumption that they should be *crossing fingers* healthier ... right?) and that alone gives them a puncher's chance against even the most loaded teams like OKC (as they proved in the playoffs). _________________ Best Classical

WTF! I can't believe Indy lost Myles Turner! That's huge! Was it a cost issue/2nd apron issue? can't see them letting go of him otherwise. Are "Larry Bird rights" a thing of the past? Not sure how I feel about teams be broken up so quickly in this era.

Not sure exactly how he got away from Indy, but its a great pick up at least on the surface, in regards talent upgrade (while pretty expensive when including the $ for Lilliard, but what's another 20 mil when you own an NBA team???). Unfortunately for the Bucks, unless they make another couple moves (they badly need to solve their perimeter D/guard play, and probably need another good scorer for their 2nd or 3rd big piece behind Giannis...), the Cavs are probably too complete, the Knicks too, and especially the West is most likely too loaded with OKC, Houston, Denver all seeming like legit top tier contenders right now, for what the Bucks have shown so far to matter -- so even if they made an epic run to the Finals they would have virtually no shot against either of those 3, plus a healthy GSW should be formidable (so long as Steph and Green and Butler all hold up plus their other pieces having good years, they could be scary) along with the T-Wolves, Lakers could be interesting with that Ayton addition plus Doncic probably having a more stable and better year, plus if LBJ takes something of a backseat to Doncic dropping his usage rate some and picking his spots more, plus Reeves possibly improving yet again... _________________ Best Classical
