Historically 1967 is the year that changed everything: Sgt. Pepper, The Doors, Are You Experienced, Disraeli Gears...

My personal favorite is probably 1991: Achtung Baby, Ten, Nevermind, Metallica, Badmotofinger, Out of Time...

With 1987 a close second: The Joshua Tree, Kick, Tunnel of Love, Hysteria, Whitesnake, Appetite for Destruction...
