But I keep my music to myself unless people ask. I hate it when people go on about their music and how I should listen to this and that - I know they're not trying to be intrusive, but it's irritating - music is something personal. If someone once dropped "Hey, try this, it's the sort of thing you'd like" then no problem, but when people are like "Oh, you haven't heard this song? Here, let me play it on my phone so we can awkwardly sit here for two minutes whilst I stare at you to see your reaction", I don't know how people expect me to act whilst not fully digesting the song, I usually just say that I'll listen to the whole thing at home a couple times. For that reason I don't share music, unless people are asking it of me, I don't want to put anyone through that.

I guess they're not a 'relatively unknown' band but criminally overlooked at any rate.
Same with Canadian artist Jenn Grant. A true treasure that not a lot of people know about.

Secret? Nah. Band? No, solo artist. Under the radar? He was on every preschooler's radar at one time, but then went under it with his music career. He's dropped off it completely now, so who knows what he's up to.
