I really like Franklin, but even then Van Zandt by miles. He shall win it all tbh.

Even though both are fantastic, I'm voting for Aretha. Townes Van Zandt probably lands in my #1 spot for favourite country artist though.. So it was a difficult pick.

Aretha. Van Zandt is excellent, but I've been listening to Aretha for much longer and I feel two of her albums have been following for so long. Should be a draw frankly.

Love both, never listened to an album by Franklin though. It's probably high time I listened to one of hers and had another listen of Van Zandt's work before I can vote.
