Third Eye Blind is probably Third Eye Blind's most consistent album. While "Semi-Charmed Life" and "Jumper" received significant radio airplay, the true gem here is "The Background." It's raw emotion and the climax, "cause I felt you long after we were through," hits hard. Third Eye Blind may not be a forum member favorite, but their first three albums are worth checking out if you're interested in catchy alternative rock.

The 90's was the best decade for singles and I'm still in love with bands like Third Eye Blind, Sugar Ray, Everclear, New Radicals, Semisonic, Urge Overkill, etc. The songs just ring with being carefree and having fun.

The album is great!

Great Album. So much nostalgia listening to this one. They had so many great singles. I actually went back a few weeks ago and listened to them extensively.

Well this is just weird...listened to this yesterday for the first time in years after "Losing A Whole Year" came on my shuffling ipod. This is one of the better 90's alt rock albums that's largely known for one song. I always hate when I hear Semi-Charmed Life on the radio and they cut out a good 45 seconds of the song which is my favorite part. But songs like Narcolepsy, Losing A Whole Year, and God Of Wine are what make the album memorable for me. It isn't just one or two good songs surrounded by junk, it holds up as a whole. Narcolepsy in particular is a beautiful and underrated track.

One of my favorite albums, blasting this on speakers actually proved to me how well this was produced.

Love about all of the tracks, not just the singles.
