Difficult match for Daniel Johnston.
Brian Eno is a true musical genius, but Johnston is one of the most honest, witty and heartbreaking songwriters I've heard.
I'll stick to DJ.

I'd vote for Johnston in pretty much any other matchup but this one. Eno is just too incredible.

Johnston, by a whisker. The sheer sincerity and vulnerability of his music and his words just connect with me on a more raw, personal level. Also, whilst I adore Eno, there are large parts of his solo career that really don't do anything for me at all, with many of my favourites being collaborative efforts (After the Heat with Cluster, for example). Occasionally Johnston's work can feel a little formulaic or uninspired, but it never grates on me in the way Eno's early, poppier records have a tendency to. There's really nothing to pick between their very best records in terms of quality, but I'm gonna go with Johnston for those reasons mentioned above.

Talk about two guys that bring completely different things to the table. I voted Johnston because he's being walloped, but I could go either way, depending on my mood.
