Pretty much everyone's votes are in, but I just remembered this interesting article on Sun Ra (which is actually what made me start following Potholes in my Blog).

I loved that, thanks for sharing. I haven't voted, considering I've not listened to enough of either artist to make a decision, but I'm much more interested in getting into Sun Ra than getting into Brian Eno, though of course, eventually I'd want to listen to a lot from both.

If you want to get into Eno, I'd suggest Here Come the Warm Jets for his earliest phase and Thursday Afternoon or Ambient 1: Music for Airports for his ambient phase, with Another Green World being a mix of the two.

If you want to get into Sun Ra, I'd suggest Jazz in Silhouette for his early, more traditional, piano-based phase, Atlantis or The Magic City for his late '60s uber-experimental phase, and Lanquidity for his somewhat cheesier, funkier '70s stuff.

Both are among the greatest musicians of all time, incredibly prolific, and among the masters, if not the masters, of experimenting with timbre. Each has at least 10 truly great albums under their belt. I think you'd like Brian Eno more though.

Okay, Nutso, can we do next matches?

And please is it possible to not have this 1 week wait anymore? Maybe 4 days now that we are in round two...? Also, maybe 5,6 or even 8 matches at a time now?

Sun Ra is colossal. Eno is pretty good, but no where near my love for Sun Ra.
