The Beastie Boys were something special in the late '80s and early '90s. This record is no exception.

This. Anybody who still thinks of the B. Boys as a novelty white rap group needs to listen to this. The range of styles present here is stunning.

Not sure anyone has ever viewed the Beasties as a "novelty white rap group". They've always been highly praised and accepted by the hip hop community.

This one's right up there with Paul's Boutique for me. very much responsible for getting me into hip hop.
