yeah go kiki!!! this album is so great
millions living is also very good
tortoise are blessed from the heathens
please take this tortoise mighty man
for I am your mighty son
and I shall taketh you across the desert
with my sword, oh mighty lord,
my heard isn't stone okay
let's just keep it like that
I shall carry the goblet and it shalt maketh no mess
that is what this album is done
post-rock and jazzy guitars make textures so descriptive and adventurous
in 'I Set My Face to the Hillside' it is like there is a painter painting a picture of
the beautiful town of Paris;
I want to live there someday -- that is my dream
but my French is not too good
the textures and stuff on this are the bomb!
get it
because
bomb
tnt
haha it was funny

Maybe I was expected too much from how much praise a number of people give this album, but I really couldn't get behind it. I'll give it another listen sometime soon.

Lock yourself in a small dark room and hotbox it with the sound of this album. That'll probably do it. Listened any other way this album does have the potential to be underwhelming.

I don't remember this being the top ranked Tortoise record on here. It's been my favorite for a while, but back in high school when Standards first came out we played the shit out of that one.
