I like it. Has 8/10 of my top ten. I'm not big enough a fan of this decade though to have a quarter of my chart be from the 2010s when we're only half way through them o_o But then again I haven't cared particularly much for this decade at all. Also, the most recent comment on this chart is obnoxious.

Don't take it badly but I don't enjoy charts where (as of today) all your albums but three on your top 10 are ranked as #1 on that year and all your albums but three on your top 20 are ranked #1 or #2 on their year. Yes, each one in it's genre, they are mostly great albums or became hot on the media, that's why they are ranked so high over here, but I don't need your chart to know that. I want charts with personality where some great albums are ranked high according to the person's likes plus you find a few not as well known albums this person likes which you want to try. That's my opinion of course.

If they're all great albums, who cares? >_> Isn't the point of a greatest albums chart solely to have great albums? Hipsters, man...

Then that would be a proper reason to dislike a chart. What's your point?

My point was that "these are mostly great albums but they're very popular" is a horrible reason to give a chart such low marks.

Eh, I don't rate charts, but I do agree with the sentiment that looking at a chart full of albums that can be found on a lot of other charts is inherently less interesting than looking at a chart full of - or at least liberally sprinkled with - albums that I've never heard or rarely see elsewhere.

Guess that makes me a hipster.

If I like the albums on a chart, I like the chart. I don't care how unique it is and I don't care how many charts I've seen before it have been similar. Unique is massively overrated. Give me honest over unique any day.

Wow, how boring. If I surrounded myself with people who like all the same things I do, life would be very bland indeed.

I don't think "honesty" and "uniqueness" are mutually exclusive. For me, the best charts have both in abundance.

Because obviously my life must equate to this just because I enjoy a chart that has mostly popular picks.

They're certainly not exclusive. However, I'm not going to dislike a chart simply for not being unique enough. If someone's favourite records all happen to fall in our top 500, I'm not going to judge them for it and they shouldn't feel a need to like more unique albums. They should just be honest about what they like.
